Our Story
Billy Aircon was founded in 2003 with a simple belief: aircon servicing in Singapore should be honest, affordable, and done right the first time. Philip Chong, our founder, started the company with a small team and a single van, serving homes in the east side of Singapore.
In those early years, Philip Chong personally handled every job — from routine servicing to complex chemical overhauls. He saw firsthand how homeowners were being overcharged by middlemen and sub-contractors who had little incentive to do quality work. That experience shaped Billy Aircon's core principle: employ our own technicians, charge fair prices, and stand behind every job with a warranty.

Philip Chong — Founder & Chief Technical Leader
Billy Aircon is led by founder Philip Chong, who holds a Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (Building) (qualification reference AA-DME-2025-33-79). His engineering background shapes how the company works: diagnose the fault properly, quote it before touching the unit, and stand behind the result.
Starting his career as a technician himself, Philip Chong understands every aspect of aircon servicing — from basic filter cleaning to complex refrigerant system diagnostics. This technical depth means Billy Aircon's standards are set by someone who has personally done the work thousands of times.
As Chief Technical Leader, Philip Chong oversees the training of every technician, ensures quality control across all jobs, and personally handles the most challenging repair cases. His philosophy is straightforward: hire good people, train them well, charge honestly, and guarantee the work.
