Why the airflow goes weak
The most common cause is a dirty unit. A clogged filter and dirty coils block the air, so even at full fan speed only a trickle comes out. Less common is a worn or failing fan motor that no longer spins at full speed. A blocked or dirty fan blade does the same.
How we fix it
For a dirty unit, a chemical wash clears the filter, coils and fan so the air flows freely again. Our non-dismantle chemical wash takes 45 to 60 minutes per unit and starts from $80 to $100 for a split unit. If the unit is heavily soiled, a full chemical overhaul goes deeper, from $130 to $180 for a split unit. If the fan motor is worn, we replace it as part of a repair from $50.
